Why You Can Trust Jesus With Your Small Faith
Sometimes, as believers, we feel timid when approaching the foot of the Cross, perhaps even embarrassed by our lack of faith. We know the Scriptures where Jesus commands us to come to Him in faith and not to doubt, and if we aren’t watchful, the devil can twist those words in a way they were never intended to be used, making us feel guilty or condemned. The truth is that God wants all of our faith no matter how minuscule, and He can take the smallest ounce of trust to work a miracle.
In Matthew 8, we see Jesus heal a man with leprosy who came to Jesus, merely saying, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” The leper wasn’t even certain whether Jesus would want to heal him, but he knew who had healing power and that it was worth extending what faith he had. The result was complete physical healing.
I wonder how many of us need something that only God can give but are holding back from asking Him for what we need? If that’s you, I encourage you to tune into my podcast episode on Matthew 8 to learn more about the grace, mercy and power of Jesus that He wants to extend to you.
